WANTED: Volunteers

DEAD or ALIVE – We want volunteers. What? Oh. For legal reasons, we can only accept living volunteers. They do have the option of dying while serving Gamesfest but we will fight them to keep them alive and appreciated.

We need a few kind, courageous, dedicated (and living) volunteers to watch some doors, check on GMs, and keep an eye on the silent auction.

EMAIL – contact@gamesfest.org

TO VOLUNTEER – Send us an email with your name, phone number, and a few sentences on what you would like to do to help. Please let us know if you are unable to do certain tasks due to your health. We don’t want to make it worse with our request.

REWARDS – Volunteers receive a custom six-sided die. It becomes a collector’s item the day after Gamesfest, Sept. 4. It means we won’t be giving any out afterward.

MORE – We are looking at a few other items to show our appreciation. But we are on a very tight budget for our first year. Check back to this page to see if we added any more.

GMs needed

EMAIL US – contact@gamesfest.org

FREE ADMISSION – Do you want to run some games? If you are willing to run two time blocks of an RPG or a wargame, we will let you in for free. You read that right. FREE!

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Each GM receives an exclusive Gamesfest six-sided die. The design changes every year. They will not be for sale. They’re only for GMs. Then there’s an exclusive 28 mm miniature. We had a figure carved just for our GMs. The only way to get one – run games for two time blocks.

TO VOLUNTEER AS A GM – Send us an email with your name (we don’t have con names), phone number, and a description of what you would like to run, the maximum number of players, rules used, if characters or armies pre-generated, and a 50 word or less description to sell your game to players. Send the information to contact@gamesfest.org

The game information will be posted on this lovely website (as soon as possible) and on the game grid to be posted at Gamesfest.
